I wrote this article recently in response to a query from a friend who wanted to know what Ramana Maharshi's attitude was to politics, and to oppressive regimes in particular. He was also curious to know whether Bhagavan had advised Mahatma Gandhi or Nehru during the struggle for Indian Independence.
