Walking in the Himalayas

There are two minor settlements between Gangotri and Tapovan: Chirbhasa and Bhojbhasa. Both provide very basic meals, and a sheltered place to sleep if you fancy lying on a hard floor in a bug-infested shelter. It is always better to bring your own tents and sleeping gear.
